The Spring season was kicked off this past weekend at Eagle's Pointe Golf Club after the holiday break. The hole being featured was No. 11, a tough par-3 surrounded by water and bunkers. For the two days we had a total of 25 pars and 15 birdies.

Shosei Inokawa (Atamishi, Japan) continues to be successful in the Photographic Hole Challenge after making a birdie and a par. The three points added to his total score puts him atop leaderboard. A player who continues to fight for that first spot is Ayaka Nakyama (Kanagawa, Japan) who added another two points to be at 6 points to be tied for third spot.

This past weekend saw eight top performers who all earned three points to put them in a good spot to make a move to win this series at the end of the season. One of the top performers was Cole Ray (Raleigh, NC) who earned three points to get him to a total of six points and is tied for third place with Ayaka.Other students who performed well to put them on the scoreboard were Paige Cappelli (Blue Pell, PA) who birdied the hole the first day and then made a solid par the last day to get her first three points in the series.

For a few of our Academy students, this was their first tour event with the IJGT and they all got off to a great start by making either birdie or par each day. Takakazu Furukawa (Shiga, Japan), Matthew Kemps (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) and Evan Smith (Bluefield, WV) all earned three points and are tied for 19th place.

The next event in this series will take place this weekend at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. The hole being featured this week is hole No. 5 on the North Course.

年末年始をはさみイーグルポイント・ゴルフクラブからシーズンがスタートしたIJGT。池やバンカーがある難しい11番ホール（パー3）でフォトグラフィックホールチャレンジが行われました。2日間で25つのパー、15つのバーディーがでました。

熱海市出身の猪川頌生は今回のフォトグラフィックホールチャレンジでもバーディーとパーを出し、今までのポイントに3ポイントが加わり、現在トップを走っています。神奈川出身の中山綾香も2ポイントを獲得し、3位タイと猪川を追い上げます。

先週末はトップ8人全員がそろって3ポイントを取り、シーズンの最後に優勝するチャンスがあります。その中の1人、コール・レイ（ノースカロライナ州）はトータル6ポイントで中山綾香とタイの3位に入っています。ペイジ・カペッリ（ペンシルバニア州）も初日にバーディ、2日目にパーを出し3ポイントを獲得しています。

IJGA生の中には、今回が初めてのフォトグラフィックホールチャレンジという学生も数人いました。滋賀県出身の古川貴和、マシュー・ケンプス、エヴァン・スミスは3ポイントを取り、19位タイとなっています。

次回のフォトグラフィックホールチャレンジは今週末のIJGT。フロリダのインスブルックリゾートの5番ホール（北コース）です。みなさん、頑張ってください。
